$75 Gift Certificate to Ape to Zebra Giveaway

So I was searching the internet for a great store that carried a variety of items and that the age range was larger. I then came across Ape to Zebra and the selection was large. While searching their site I found so many great products that are safe. They have strict rules on what products they carry. It's great because they are concerned about the latest lead related toy recalls and stay up to date.

Ape to Zebra specialize in safe educational toys as well as natural and environmentally friendly toys including German made wooden and soft toys, Wood toys made in Thailand and toys made in USA and other countries from all over the world. They truly make decisions about the quality of the toys you buy, the educational benefits and the origin of the toys and hope that the list of toy manufacturers and information on where their toys are manufactured will be of help to you. It's great because they concerned about the latest lead related toy recalls so they only feature products that are safe for children to explore.

Ape to Zebra have some great added bonuses on their site. My husband and I are trying for a second and on their site they have a list of baby names and how popular they are. Thanks for making it easier to find a name. :) Also on their site they have a section to child development. They go into detail about each age group and define fine and gross motor skills. They also have more great skills defined for you.

Ape to Zebra makes shopping super easy for you! I went to through the sidebar and they had categories for all ages, manufactures, toy brand, best seller, accessories, award winning, by theme, product type.

So you want to win this great prize?

Please enter here by February 15Th, 2009 by 12 P.M. CST
The winner will be personally picked by Ape to Zebra so make it count and get noticed :)

Head over to Ape to Zebra and come back and tell me what products you love and why. Also tell me if there are any products you would like to see in the store.

Please feel free to follow me or blog about the giveaway. They will not be counted as additional entries since Ape to Zebra will be picking the winner.

Thanks for entering and I wish you all good luck!

I teach Kindergarten in a low-income school district and I would love to have some of these items for my classroom..specifically the games. From an educators standpoint these products are great because they utilize and pinpoint a variety of skills necessary for a kindergartner's development like fine motor and balancing skills ( balancing cactus game, cone sorting), number concepts (king of numbers,) (spot the dots),and the majority of the games involve social skills and team work. These characteristics make these games very fun to play and enhancing for skill development and learning in the classroom. I also really like how most of the games are self-correcting because it puts more responsibility on student learning and less adult involvement is required. I would love to win this prize so that I may add some of these valuable games to my classroom learning environment.

I love all the pretend play foods. They are so realistic and well made. I can't think of anything that could be added. When I saw the pretend play ironing board, I had to laugh. If I gave that to my granddaughters, they wouldn't know what is was. Their mom doesn't even own an iron or ironing board. She things the dryer is made to remove wrinkles.

My son attends elementary school and his favorite subject is science. He loves all things that have to deal with science. He even says he wants to be a scientist when he grows up, which I think is fabulous! I was wowed by all the cool science toys at Ape to Zebra. I am sure my son would love to own all of them! The one product I thought was really cool was the Moon in My Room Astronomy Toy. I think it would be great to display in my son's room. He loves looking at the moon and with this toy he could also learn more about the moon phases.

I love the Uberstix - Sailboat Construction Kit and Uberstix Build It Set (and actually most all of the Big Kid toys on the site!). In this day & age, I am always on the lookout for toys to keep my children occupied that are NOT electronic! It seems that kids older than 3rd graders are always hooked into some Game Boy or DS, and I find they don't think that other things are fun. UNTIL THEY DO THEM! I look for outdoorsy toys and toys that will continue to help them grow socially and educationally. Toys that use engineering or science are especially great for this age! This sailboat construction kit is wonderful in that it uses recycled materials, helps them with building skills (i.e. math and spatial skills) and gets them outside!

I really like the way the website is set up, with information about each stage of your childs life and what skills they are learning. Having a degree in psychology and with a daughter who teaches pre-school, and a toddler grandchild, I applaud all opportunities to educate parents in childhood development. In addition, I have been somewhat disappointed at the many of the toys these days and miss the types of toys that are shown on Ape to Zebra. The sturdy, safe, and quality made toys that allow a child to use their imagination! I really like the Toddler push toys, especially the Colorful Harlekyn Push toy !

I'm excited to see quality wooden toys becoming more popular and more available here in the States, and I'd love to see more of the German children's board games become widely available, too.

Seriously, I could give you a list a mile long of the toys I love over there! (it's pretty much all of them!) But for the sake of everyone who has to read LOL I will just give you a couple:
Automoblox: My son is hugely into cars right now and I'm getting sick of buying metal and/or plastic matchbox cars for him - this is something worth spending my money on!
Moon in my Room: My son loves to point out and watch the moon when we are outside at night - having a moon in his room would be awesome!
I also love, basically, all of the instruments - my boys love to make music! (the banjo is especially cute!) And the Knight's Play Tent and Land of Dragons Wooden Puzzle Stacking Toddler Toy!

Well to start off....I LOVE the name of their store. That is what hooked me right off. I am a mother of four boys (including twins) and I teach preschool from home to 10 four year-olds so visiting Ape to Zebra is like Christmas morning for me!

I only found about...hmm....a million things I would love to buy! I love how it's set up for me to find anything I might have my eye on or if I just want to browse. I am all about finding toys that are safe and fun and a break from electronics!

I love all of the pretend play toys for preschoolers like the Play Cooker and The Pirate ship. My preschool has an emphasis in music so I love the xylophone, musical band, rattle, bells, banjo, drums, I LOVE them all! They are so cute and kid friendly!

I also love their puppets, and train sets, and I would love the Terra Kids Belt Bag and all of the other outdoor stuff for my eight year old.

Okay, I could go on and on. I am really hoping I win this one! Since I teach preschool from home I don't have extra money to buy things like this. But whether I win or not I'm glad I found this site. Thanks so much!

Ape to Zebra is a breath of fresh air after dealing with all the noisy electronic toys that are in large stores. I've been thinking I need to get rid of the plastic toys for my 18 month old and stick with toys more natural and imaginative. It was so easy to search for toddler toys for just the right age group. I have to say I would have a very hard time picking from the soft toys like Monster Bowling Pins and the Haba Castle and the wooden blocks and instruments. I also appreciate the informative information found at the bottom of the pages on the website about toddler play.

My first thought when I saw the Master Pogo Stick on Ape to Zebra's site was that our lawn would at least be aerated. Very nice. But then again, I think the kinder inherited Dad's coordination...so our lawn might just end up looking rumpled and upturned. Our daughter has been begging for a pogo stick for about a year. Perhaps it's time to retest her skills. My nerves are almost healed from the last effort.

I think I'd love to see more learning kits...perhaps from Thames & Kosmos! Great stuff.

I just recently helped a dear friend donate some toys and books to the Toy Library at the Huntington Hotel. It's a subsidized hotel around the corner in downtown L.A. This is a fairly bleak place and has 22 families and sometimes children in these areas are forgotten. Well at the Huntington - not anymore!!!

Here's an article about it: http://ladowntownnews.com/articles/2008/09/08/news/09-08-08-news05.txt

It was really nice to do something for our favorite people - kids! Paying it forward creates such magic in their lives! It would be so special to donate an Ape to Zebra eco~friendly toy or two or even three to one of these sweet kiddies!

And, my favorite toys? I love, love, love the Wooden Pirate Ship Pretend Play Set with Pirate Captain, Sailors and Accessories and the Tori Natural Wooden Rocking Horse by PLAN TOYS. Actually, I love everything! That's why I just had to sign up for their newsletter. I'd be remiss not to stay in the Ape to Zebra loop.

And, if I could suggest one thing I'd love to see in their store, it would definitely be eco~friendly writing paper!

I am so appreciative of a store like Ape to Zebra and all the eco~friendly love they put into the toys they sell and the ethics and integrity they uphold to make this a world a brighter place for our children!

Thanks so much for this fabulous give~away! : )))

I'm very interested in the baby learning toys and wish I could have one of each. I love the bright colors and fine workmanship and I especially like the number of musical toys. I believe I'd start off choosing the Baby Tambourine, Baby's First Wind Chimes - Ocean, and Bettino Musical Ball Pounding Hammering Toy.

WOW!! This store has an amazing selection of learning toys! We don't homeschool, but we send our kid to a democratic free school so we try to expose her as much as possible to things and ideas she might be interested in exploring further. I LOVE the Horrible History Series and the Grimm's Wooden Toys.
What's missing? Hard to say - they have a variety that's pretty unique. It's a well curated shop. Maybe some real cooking kits for kids.

Monster Bowling Children Bowling Pins & Ball Track Basic Construction Set - Large ARE MY FAVORITE.
Truth is it's hard to choose & would take me hours to make a choice because my kids would love to have everything.

I would love more toys that teach ethical & moral lessons to be added to thier site.

I like the Bamboo Kids in the Kitchen set of 5 Kitchen Utensils for kids. They're made from organic bamboo, and spark kids imagination...as opposed to just another electronic toy...can't think of anything else I'd like to see.

The marble runs have run away, the dominoes have fallen, won't stay, the skyscraper towers don't tower like ours, and what's a kid to say??

Ape to Zebra is the password,
Toys are great, forward and backward,
Marbles roll and dominoes stand, towers tower in this kidland!
